Store rotation
Improve task rotation within an existing schedule. Compare long runs of the same task with a recorded result that moves work into preferred duration grades.
Recorded, read-only example using synthetic data.
Rotate tasks within the saved work
Lanes 1–6 are anonymous work lanes, not named employees. Rotation keeps the existing work times and task coverage. It does not construct staffing or assign employees.
Checkout, Hosting, Packing and Sorting are selected for rotation on May 1–2. May 3 is unselected and stays unchanged. All times use Europe/Stockholm.
Lanes 1–2 allow Checkout and Hosting; lanes 3–4 allow Packing and Sorting. Locked five-minute blocks, Lane 5’s Fixed work and all breaks stay in place. Breaks split continuous task runs.
Read the duration grades
Each selected task uses the same grades: 60 minutes is preferred; 45–59 or 61–75 minutes is good; shorter or longer runs are exceptions. Totals below cover the selected days and include fixed work and breaks separately.
Lane 6 permits only Checkout and has ten available minutes on each selected day. Its ten-minute Checkout runs cannot reach a good duration, so those exceptions remain.
This result was recorded from the local optimizer with a one-second search budget. A bounded heuristic can improve a schedule without proving an optimum.
Submitted input and result
2 duration exceptions remain. This is a bounded heuristic result.

Submitted input duration exceptions
Adjacent blocks of the same task form one continuous run. Breaks split runs. Select an exception to focus its work in the schedule.
